To get to 1.00 reinstalling would be the only option. BTW Final patch is 1.09, did you upgrade all the way up? I didn't want to - I mainly play the campaign and I didn't like reading about less harvester resources being carried. Plus, 1.00 you get to build multiple defense queues, which helps vastly in some missions.
